The Eternal Game
About The Eternal Game
The Eternal Game will be a series of 13 books that tells the record of events recorded on The Akashik. The Eternal Game will cover a personal story in each book the delves into the real human cost for getting involved. Each book will take their inspiration from a set of story types Exquil feels that captures the spirit of both the long tale of the game and the personal costs to those involved.
The Eternal Game, though pictorialized through tarot-style cards, is not a game at all, but a record of thoughts and deeds carried out in the name of Nephilem. These thoughts and deeds are held by The Circle of Judges who record these on an Akashic Record known as The Blanket of the Stars. The Circle of Judges often assign a mystagogue to initiate burden bearers.

How thoughts and deeds are recorded on The Blanket of the Stars is a Sacred Mystery, and in this sense cannot be explained or apprehended by reason alone. Thus, it is mystical and awaits disclosure or interpretation revealed by God.
The Eternal Game records the thoughts and deeds of: Nephilem, Traders, Collectors, Hunters, Protectors, Enemies and burden bearer of The Blanket of The Stars. Enemies of the Nephilem are classified in two schools: Owls and Crows. These are eternal enemies since the beginning of time, and these will attempt to attack or kill each other with an instant dislike. Diametrically opposing Owls and Crows are Protectors.
However, Protectors, Owls and Crows are unknown variables in The Eternal Game. Everyone in The Eternal Game is classified as a Protector or Enemy of the Nephilem; even Nephilem themselves; even Hunters. One tends to align themselves to protect their position in the game given the situation.

Circle of Judges
Stewards of The Eternal Game. Responsible for shrouding the Truth of the Sacred Mystery from those who have not attained the level of enlightenment to understand God’s Grace.

Nephilem
The bloodline of fallen angels. The “marked” ones. Precious to those who wish to preserve God’s bloodline here on earth. An abomination to those who see them as defiling God’s Grace.

Traders
Pirates that take advantage of the chaos and create a marketplace to proffer and profit from Nephilem. Deals in slaves, fakes, breeding and genuine articles. Traders are normally organised criminal gangs, hospitals, dioceses, adoption agencies, government officials, aid agencies and slavers.

Collectors
Opportunists who are normally anthropologists, philanthropists, humanitarians, humanitarian organisations, benefactors, slavers and deep cultists who collect curios to further the advance of their interest for a wider ideological purpose.

Hunters
Secret Society of self-styled anointed Hammer of God assassins. They are burdened with tracking the Blanket of the Stars to clue them to the whereabouts of Nephilem sightings. Hunters, if identified by anyone in The Eternal Game, are known in the past, to have switched alliances to keep their place on the chess board inscrutable.

Protectors
A variable piece in The Eternal Game equation (z). Protectors are those who are looking out for the interest of the Nephilem and those who have aligned themselves with them. Protectors can sometimes be innocents or infidels or simply someone who is ignorant to The Eternal Game.

Enemies (Crows)
“sin dines on its will” – so the saying goes, and as such enemies of the Nephilem are plenty. So much so enemies of the Nephilem will devour each other on the way to taking the prize. Enemies are a variable piece in The Eternal Game equation. Enemies are classified in the Akashik record as being Owls (x) or Crows (y). No one is sure how or why each enemy is assigned; only that there can be opposing enemies in the game.
